It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

December's nearly here and Christmas is certainly coming to Hexham Abbey with so many fabulous events coming up over the next few weeks.

On Saturday 2nd December, 3pm-4.30pm, there will be a Light up a Life service at Hexham Abbey, where you are invited to remember a loved one who has died by making a donation in their memory. The funds raised will go to Tynedale Hospice at Home, which provides palliative care to people in their own homes, and in return for your donation you will receive a card with your loved one's name inside and a memory star to write your own message on. The service is open to people of all faiths and you don't have to have made a donation to attend.

As we all get ready to mark the start of Advent, Hexham Abbey's Choir and Candles for Advent will be taking place on Sunday 3rd December, 6.30pm-7.30pm. The lovely service with the Abbey choirs will be the perfect way to start the Christmas period.

Get your Christmas shopping done at the Hexham Abbey Christmas Fair on Saturday 9th December, 10am-2.30pm! With stalls selling home-made gifts, baked goods and food, as well as children's activities and singing, the fair will be a real highlight of the festive season at Hexham Abbey.
