Boxing Day traditions

I hope that you all had a great Christmas and are enjoying Boxing Day. Do you know where the tradition of Boxing Day comes from?

It is thought that Boxing Day was traditionally a day off for servants, and on this day their master would give them a Christmas Box to thank them for their service throughout the year. The servants would then return home to their families and give them the Christmas Box, containing gifts, leftover food and money.

Today though Boxing Day is traditionally a day to spend with family and friends, and I wish you a wonderful day however you plan to spend it!
