The North's New Year Heroes

Last week the Queen's New Years Honours List for 2018 was announced, and I am so pleased to see so many people from the North East recognised for their contributions to the community. The Honours have been awarded to people across a wide range of areas, including business, education and charity, with 93 year old Frank Bull from Alnwick, who worked in Bletchley Park, awarded a British Empire Medal for his work with the Poppy Appeal and the Royal British Legion. It is brilliant that so many from our region have been recognised for their achievements- congratulations to everyone on the Honours List.
