The Great
Exhibition of the North is set to be the biggest event in England this year,
showcasing the North and its world-class art, culture, design and innovation. Taking
place throughout the summer, the Great Exhibition will enhance the profile of
the North both nationally and internationally, with an expected global audience
of over three million. New details about the Exhibition are constantly being
revealed, and the Exhibition already promises to be an incredible event, with
an opening ceremony on the iconic Newcastle Quayside and events taking place
all over the North involving businesses and communities to reveal how the
North’s art, culture, design and innovation has shaped the world we live in
today. It is hoped that the Great Exhibition will instil local pride and
inspire people to visit and work in the North. More details about the
Exhibition will be revealed in the coming weeks and months, but it already
