Travelled up to the Maltings in Berwick on Tweed to debate elderly care and pensions on the Politics Show; also on the panel were Dave Anderson from Blaydon and Simon Reed from Wansbeck.
You can watch the show on IPlayer
Hope I got our two key policies of
i). insurance at 65 to pay for elderly care
ii). pensions reform by asking pensioners to work longer to age 66 if they are 59 [men] and women to work till they are 66 as well.
The other team of canvassers / deliverers were out in force in Haltwhistle and we met up for very late lunch in Corbridge
