I was
delighted to hear that Northumbria Blood Bikes have been awarded the Queen’s
Award for Voluntary Service in honour of the fantastic work they do across the
North East. Northumbria Blood Bikes was founded by volunteers and transports
blood and urgent medical supplies between hospitals out of hours. The charity
will receive the award from the Duchess of Northumberland and
is very well deserved.
