An inspirational charity trek

I would like to send my congratulations to Alan Nelson, a Hexham Constituency Community Champion, who has completed a 120 mile trek in the Himalayas. Alan and fellow Hexham resident Susan Thompson raised £2500 in aid of the Daft as a Brush charity, which provides specialist transport for cancer patients. The trek took place over a three week period with eight hours of walking per day often at altitude, and finished in Kathmandu, Nepal. Alan has raised thousands of pounds for the Daft as a Brush charity which supported his late wife Virginia during her battle with cancer, and his fundraising will no doubt be an incredible help to so many cancer patients. Congratulations to Alan and Susan on an amazing achievement.
