Here is a comment I wrote on Facebook about the "second referendum" petition which currently has over a million signatures:I voted Remain, but think we should respect the result of the referendum. Rather than signing a petition which (if enacted) would have all the Leave camp complaining about lack of democracy and possibly result in a higher Leave vote, why not try to influence your MP to obtain the best possible exit deal for working people and future generations? Parliament is overwhelmingly anti-Leave and will have the final decision in any exit deal. Try to support your MP to argue for a deal which implements aspects of the EU you want to retain - for example, free labour movement in return for low trade tariffs. UKIP are unlikely to have any influence on these negotiations, but your MP will do.
