Today, I had the pleasure of hosting children from Wark
Primary School at the House of Commons.
The children won the NFU’s ‘Farmvention: Climate
Superheroes’ competition. The Climate Superheroes from Wark worked so hard to
invent an amazing sensor sprinkler to do their bit to tackle climate change.
Next stop: Dragon’s Den!
I had also had the opportunity to talk to their teachers,
Miss McKay and Miss Wright about the amazing things the children
have been learning on the environment and climate change.
During their tour of Parliament, the children also bumped into
House of Commons Speaker, Lindsay Hoyle!
Huge thanks to the National Farmers Union and Minette Batters for organising such a fantastic event!
