I was last in Westminster over 3 weeks ago, and have been on the road - first up north in Hexham for 11 days then 5 days on the road in Scotland [see todays earlier blog post], then 3 in Hexham again, and then 3 and a half days in Manchester. My first day back here in the Commons was Friday and today it is a Saturday and I am catching up on the dozens of emails, unanswered queries, unfinished articles, and preparation for the start of the winter parliament.
My apologies to anyone who is owed a reply. Normal service will be resumed on Monday and I will spend this afternoon trying to make sure all outstanding matters are attended to.
