Churches, trains, monuments, and all things metal will be saved by the new Srap Metal Dealers Act

The Scrap Metal Dealers Act became law early this October.

This follows a long campaign by the Churches, representatives from the scrap metal industry, the National Metal Theft Taskforce, police and many community leaders - and the train companies too!
As Richard Ottaway MP put it in the House of Commons today - "this legislation will help to make the trains run on time" and very few acts of government do that.
Metal theft is a terrible crime and I am really proud this government has done something about it.
