National Libraries Day will be taking place on 6 February
2016 to celebrate public libraries and the library workforce.
Libraries form an invaluable asset at the heart of local
communities: providing sources of information, entertainment and inspiration; a
gateway to literature and learning, and offering a practical support network for
those in need. They are free to enter and open to everyone, allowing all to come
in and expand their horizons.
To celebrate the great role they play, across Tynedale we
will be treated to a great variety of events taking place in our libraries next
week.
