Showcasing tourism in Northumberland
It was great to attend last week's Northumberland Tourism Fair at Hexham Mart. With more than 130 exhibitors attending, there was a real sense of optimism about tourism in Northumberland and lots of evidence that our tourism season is getting longer. The event was hosted by Northumberland-based social enterprise Local Living, with support from Northumberland County Council, and I really enjoyed being able to meet some of the people at the heart of Northumberland's tourism industry.
