The Rural Oscars- Nominate now!

Nominations for The Countryside Alliance Awards, nicknamed the 'Rural Oscars' are now open ahead of their 13th year, and I would like to encourage you to nominate your favourite rural businesses. The Countryside Alliance Awards honour the skills, produce, tradition, enterprise and people who do outstanding work and make a difference in their local community. Seven regional champions from five categories will be announced in March and they will be invited to Parliament for the British finals, where five will be crowned British Champions in the presence of MPs and Ministers. New this year is a pub category giving you the chance to nominate your favourite Northumberland pub, while other categories include local food/drink, village shop/post office, butcher and rural enterprise.

Nominations are now open until 13th November. We all know that Northumberland is home to so many brilliant businesses- if you would like to nominate your favourite or find out more about The Rural Oscars visit here-
