An Easter weekend in the countryside

We have been incredibly lucky to have been able to enjoy such glorious weather over this Easter bank holiday weekend. Over the last two weeks Northumberland National Park Authority and National Parks UK have been marking Discover National Parks Fortnight, a celebration of our landscapes to encourage people to get outside. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the 1949 National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act which paved the way for the establishment of National Parks, and with the stunning Northumberland National Park right on our doorsteps, what better time to make the most of the beautiful weather and get outside in our wonderful countryside.

Spending time in the outdoors has so many beneficial effects to our health and wellbeing. As the summer months approach, why not consider making the most of the incredible National Park we have in the Hexham constituency and spend some time exploring our beautiful countryside- I promise you won't regret it!
