This week members of the Ermine Street Guard are at Vindolanda to show how they make their replica Roman armour, weapons and shoes. The Guard make their kit as authentically as possible, with the process based on recent research, so this is a fascinating chance to find out how the Romans themselves may have made their armour. The Guard are at Vindolando every day until Monday 19th August so make sure not to miss out on a unique experience!
