Volunteers wanted to help save lives!

Northumbria Blood Bikes is an incredible charity that helps to save lives by delivering essential blood and urgent medical supplies out of hours between hospitals and healthcare sites in the North East. Hospitals rely on these blood bikes to transfer urgent medical supplies or test samples between hospitals out of hours, and Northumbria Blood Bikes offer to carry out this service free of charge to ensure that NHS resources can be used elsewhere.

I met with representatives from Northumbria Blood Bikes in Westminster last week and know what brilliant work they do all year round, helping to save lives. I also know that the charity relies on donations and volunteers to deliver their service. There are so many ways that you can help Northumbria Blood Bikes to keep carrying out their excellent work- from making a donation, to fundraising and being a volunteer rider or driver, any help will make a huge difference.
