I was very proud
to announce this week the launch of the Hexham Constituency Community Champion
Awards, which will recognise some of the extraordinary achievements of people
in communities across the constituency.
Each month
certificates will be awarded to people and organisations whose achievements
deserve to be celebrated, and some recipients will go on to attend an annual
event at the House of Commons in honour of their outstanding contributions to
our community.
I know from my
travels around the constituency that there are so many people doing great
things for their community, and I hope that these awards will show these
inspirational people how much they are appreciated.
