On Tuesday I
had the pleasure of opening the new Hexham offices of Lifespan. Lifespan is a
North-East based charity which supports people suffering from serious,
life-limiting illnesses and their friends and family. The charity works with
GPs, consultants, hospital teams, Macmillan and nursing teams to offer
complementary therapies, counselling, nutritional advice, bereavement support
and more. All of their services are free and Lifespan visits patients at home,
in hospitals and in hospices. It was great to meet Manager Sheila and her team
of staff and volunteers, who all do such incredible work.
Since
Lifespan provides care and support to patients free of charge, they are
dependant on donations and fundraising. If you would like to find out more
about Lifespan or to support them by making a donation, visit here- http://lifespan-charity.com
