EGGER- Representing the North East

It's always great to see local businesses celebrated on the national stage, and so I was delighted to hear that EGGER Limited, the wood-based materials manufacturer, is going to represent the North East at the National British Chambers of Commerce Awards in London in November. The Hexham-based business is celebrated for its approach to apprenticeships and employee training, and 10% of its workforce are currently or have been apprentices. Apprentices at the company have access to electrical and mechanical engineering training schemes, and have access to a £4m engineering facility with a state of the art training academy, and the majority go on to have successful careers at the company. EGGER's work in training skilled workers is admirable and I wish them the best of luck in November!
