This impressive arch in Hexham was presented to the town to commemorate members of the Fourth Northumberland Fusiliers in France and Belgium during World War I. The companies of Hexham, Bellingham, Haydon Bridge, Prudhoe, Corbridge, Haltwhistle and Newburn are remembered with this arch, which stands as a wonderful reminder to us all of their incredible service.
