There is a brilliant
line-up of authors heading to this year’s Hexham Book Festival (26th April-6th May), which promises
to be the best yet. Authors confirmed to be attending include Sarah Winman,
Kate Mosse, Simon Mayo, Evan Davis, Judy Murray, Jeremy Vine, Jenni Murray, David Starkey, Rachel Joyce, Harriet Harman and many, many more. This year’s Festival will
have a particular focus on the strides women have made in the last hundred
years to mark the centenary of women’s suffrage, with Dr Helen Pankhurt, the
great-granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst, also attending. The Hexham Book
Festival is always a fantastic event, benefitting the local economy with more
than 5000 people visiting Hexham during the Festival. I would certainly
encourage you to find out more about this year’s Festival- with such a great
line-up, there really is something for everyone.
